1.
What is your favorite color?
Midnight
blue, burnt orange, and taupe.
2.
What is your favorite activity outside of the work
place?
Outside of
work I like to spend time with my boyfriend and our dogs. We enjoy hiking, or as
close to it as we can get around Myrtle Beach, going to the dog park, going to
the beach,
watching Hell’s Kitchen, and playing the PlayStation.
3.
If you had unlimited funds for a week, where would you
go and what would you do?
With unlimited
funds for a week, I’d book a camping and hiking trip in Alaska for myself, my
boyfriend, and our two dogs. I
would also buy a house outright where I live, furnish it, and
decorate it.
4.
What is/are your favorite sport team(s)?
I can’t say I
really follow sports anymore, however, I do really enjoy hockey.
5.
Which character (TV, movie, etc.) is most like you?
Elizabeth
Bennet from Pride and Prejudice (my all time favorite
book!). She is intelligent, witty,
honest, sensible, clever, and sassy. She’s
also able to overcome obstacles, including herself, to
find happiness.
6.
What movie could you watch over and over
again, and why?
There are a
few but Gangs of New York stands out. It’s an incredible movie and Daniel
Day
Lewis is amazing.
7.
What animal would you be and why?
Probably a spider
monkey. They’re adorable, nimble, can climb and jump around, and still
have full dexterity with their opposable thumbs. My other choice would be a baby sloth. Again, they’re adorable
and they
love to sleep.
8.
What do you think is the secret to a good life?
I think the
secret to a good life is to find gratitude and joy in the small things.
Life can
get hard but if you are able to pull gratitude and joy from the little
things, you realize that they can be stepping stones to
the next big thing.
When you feel down, start naming things you’re grateful for. You’ll soon
realize your life is a lot better than
you thought. Dogs help a lot too. They make everything better.
9.
What is your favorite quote?
"The
shortest and surest way to live with honor in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be;
and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and
strengthen themselves by the practice of them." -Socrates
And "Even
after all this time the sun never says to the earth, "you owe me."
Look what
happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky." -Hafiz

Tell us something fun about yourself.
I’ve driven
cross country twice. The first time, I went the northern route (east to west)
with a
friend of mine and camped out pretty much the entire
way. I’ve woken up at the base of the
Grand Tetons, fed chipmunks out of my
hand at Crater Lake, took in the incomparable beauty
of Montana, and driven through giant redwoods in Northern California. The second time, I went the southern route. That time
it was just me
and my little chihuahua Kevin. We went to the Grand Canyon, drove through the
deserts of New Mexico and
Arizona, enjoyed beautiful Austin Texas, visited New
Orleans and sampled their delicious foods, before landing in a couple feet
of snow
in Central Maine. After the first trip, I decided to stay in California and was
there for 5 years before driving back to the
East Coast.
