  • Overview

    The 90-minute webinar program will focus on providing education on all forms of hormonal and select non-hormonal contraceptive methods, including particular characteristics that may impact product selection for a specific patient. There will be an emphasis on communication, including shared-decision making among pharmacists, providers, and patients. Important aspects for pharmacist counseling will be covered such as pertinent side effects from a patient perspective, what the patient needs to know or expect about a particular method, and any management strategies for mild side effects that occur. Lastly, the pharmacist's expanding role in prescribing contraception will be explored.
