    Given an actual or simulated patient with an advanced illness, recognize effective critical thinking processes to optimize medication management for effective pain and symptom management.
    Recognize evidence supporting or refuting continuing medications for Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, and metabolic syndrome.
    Identify effective techniques to facilitate conversations about medication management (including discontinuing medications) with patients, families, caregivers and other health care professionals.
