Pharmythology: Hm, I Don’t Know About That!

Pharmacists undergo a three-year rigorous didactic program, followed by a one-year clinical program. We learn a lot of valuable material, although some might not be clinically applicable. Pharmacists also learn from dedicated preceptors and their peers, who, out of habit, have “always done it that way.” Professor Pete Kreckel, with over 40 years of experience and precepting, assembled this presentation dispelling myths that “everyone knows.” Routine things done in the pharmacy keep perpetuating such myths, and after this presentation you will be more understanding that “just because everyone does it” does not mean it is the most appropriate approach.
