Beyond the Classroom: Controlled Substance Diversion

Preventing and responding to controlled substance diversion is an integral responsibility for every pharmacy. Diversion may be as subtle as an internal theft or as brazen as a robbery of the pharmacy at gun point. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must be prepared to respond appropriately to any situation. In this session, we are joined by a team of experts to discuss the critical issue of drug diversion and violence in our places of practice. Best practices among law enforcement and strategists are discussed in an effort to ensure that the pharmacy team comes armed with a practical and responsible plan of action.
