CPE Monitor

What is CPE Monitor?

CPE Monitor is a national, collaborative effort by ACPE and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) to provide an electronic system for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to track their completed continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits. It allows boards of pharmacy to electronically validate completed credits instead of requiring paper statement of credits or random audits.

How does it work?

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians receive a NABP e-Profile ID after setting up an account on the NABP website (see Get Your e-Profile ID). A valid NABP e-Profile ID number and date of birth is required for a CE provider to submit an ACPE-accredited course to the NABP. It is the responsibility of the pharmacist or pharmacy technician to provide the correct information (i.e. ID and DOB) in order to receive credit for participating in a CPE activity. If a pharmacist or pharmacy technician is licensed in more than one state, they will still need only one NABP e-Profile ID.

Please note that providers have up to 60 days from the date of your activity to submit CPE claim data to the NABP. If you do not submit your credit to the CPE provider by the provider’s submission deadline, the provider will be unable to submit your claim to ACPE for transmission to your e-Profile. Always submit CPE activity claims as soon as possible upon completion of a CPE activity.

CPE FAQS

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) launched CPE Monitor, a continuing education monitoring service for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, in partnership with ACPE. This platform was designed to make it easier for pharmacy professionals to keep track of their continuing pharmacy education credits and for State Boards of Pharmacy and certifying organizations to verify continuing education requirements.

You do not need to manually submit your completed CE to NABP. Continuing education providers (like freeCE) submit your completed credits to CPE Monitor for you. Make sure you add your NABP information to your freeCE profile so freeCE can report your completed credits.

To get started with CPE Monitor, you’ll need to visit the NAMP website to create a CPE Monitor account and get an eProfile ID. Once you have an account, you’ll be able to download the mobile app to check in on your CE progress on the go.

freeCE reports completed credits to CPE Monitor as soon as a participant completes their program evaluation using their NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth. Make sure you add your NABP information to your freeCE profile so freeCE can report your completed credits to CPE Monitor for you.
